He has betrayed Flick and they've kicked him out of Barça: the new Florian Wirtz says goodbye

The German coach wants to make one of his compatriots important at Barça

He was one of the most exciting signings for Barcelona in recent times within youth soccer, and his arrival caused great expectations. In addition to his undeniable talent, the Catalan club secured his contract with a €1 billion ($1 billion) release clause. However, his time in the Catalan city has not lived up to expectations; Noah Darvich, the young German gem, has signed for Stuttgart.

Darvich arrived at Barça's reserve team as a future star, captain of the German U-17 national team and world champion with his country. His signing was presented as a firm commitment by the club to international youth development, but his performance at Barça Atlètic left much to be desired.  He never fully adapted, gradually lost prominence in  Rafa Márquez's plansand ended up as a marginal footballer in the squad.

At just 17 years old, he arrived with tremendous potential, but his soccer never quite fit into Barça's model; he lacked pace, tactical understanding, and consistency. Those close to the club admit that he did not convince "even in training sessions." The club tried to protect him during his first weeks, but as time went by, it was accepted that he had no place in the immediate future of the first team.

Stuttgart happy with its signing

Given this situation, Barça has chosen to make a clean break, seeking a definitive exit that benefits all parties, and Stuttgart is the club that has taken him.  The German side, which has just completed an excellent season in the Bundesliga, has made a strong bet on the young talent. According to sources from the German club, this is a "great addition" for its future project.

Stuttgart's sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, has expressed his delight with Darvich's signing. "Noah Darvich is a player with tremendous potential, he knows the demands of elite soccer and has the qualities to grow with us," he said in official statements. The footballer has signed a long-term contract and hopes to relaunch his career in his home country.

Darvich wanted to leave

Meanwhile, Barça keeps a series of variables and financial conditions in the deal. Although the transfer fee has not been officially disclosed, reports suggest a low amount with possible performance bonuses. A buy-back clause and preferential rights in the event of a future sale have also been included.

Ultimately, Noah Darvich is another failed experiment by Barça in its attempt to internationalize the talent of its reserve team. His signing promised a lot, but came to nothing. The club considers it an "acknowledged mistake" and has preferred to let him go rather than continue investing time and resources in his development.

With his departure to Stuttgart, Barça closes a disappointing chapter in its sporting planning. Meanwhile, the blaugrana team will continue working with more established profiles and with a clear commitment to national talent. Darvich's future is now in the hands of German soccer, where he will try to show that his signing for Barça was not just a mirage.
