Official: Noah Darvich is leaving Barça for a top-tier team—all because of Pedri

The German gem could leave Barça to return to his country, as a major Bundesliga team wants to sign him

Noah Darvich is starting to accept that his future doesn't lie with FC Barcelona, the talented German attacking midfielder, one of the gems Joan Laporta has cherished the most. The German, for the first time since his arrival in the summer of 2023, is seriously considering a change of scenery; Barça Atlètic's sporting situation has been the trigger. The blaugrana team has been relegated to the Segunda RFEF (fourth tier), and the lack of playing time has finally worn out a footballer who arrived with the label of a star.

Not even the arrival of Hansi Flick,  the player's compatriot, has helped calm things down; the German coach values Darvich's talent. The club doesn't see him as ready to join the first team's dynamics immediately; he has had very limited minutes both with the reserves and the first team. The former Freiburg player believes his progress is stalled, and his camp has already started to take action.

The strongest interest is coming from the Bundesliga, with Wolfsburg, who've been following his development for several months, ready to make a move for his signing. The German club believes Darvich would fit perfectly into their young and ambitious project. In addition, the fact that he's German would make his immediate adaptation easier. FC Barcelona wouldn't be opposed to a transfer if an affordable buy-back clause is kept.

Noah Darvich can move to Germany

But Wolfsburg aren't the only offeror; Stuttgart have also shown interest in recent days, although there's one club that could change everything. According to sources close to the player's camp, the German Cup (DFB Pokal) champion is closely monitoring the market. Meanwhile, in their reports, Noah Darvich's name is highlighted in red.

The deal could be closed in a way that benefits all parties; Barcelona would be open to letting Darvich gofor a figure close to €5 million. In return, they'd look to include a medium-term buy-back clause. In addition, the blaugrana club would take the opportunity to negotiate the signing of Nick Woltemade with a purchase option.

Option for Woltemade

The 6 ft. 6 in. (1.98 meters) striker who has shined in the Cup and is one of the sensations of German soccer. Economically, Barcelona need to free up many roster spots and gain salary cap space; Darvich, despite his youth, has a contract until 2026 with the reserve team. In the club's offices, they consider him an asset who can generate immediate profits without mortgaging the future.

The move isn't official yet, but talks are advanced; Noah Darvich doesn't want to stay in Segunda RFEF (fourth tier) and Barça can't guarantee him minutes with the first team. Everything suggests his time at La Masia will end soon. The outcome could arrive before preseason starts with Hansi Flick.
