Monumental Anger at Barça with Ansu Fati and His Decision: It Makes No Sense, He's Going to...

Ansu Fati has ruled out the idea of playing for a La Liga team and direct rival of the Catalan club

After more than three months without playing time, Ansu Fati returned to the field in the match against Borussia Dortmund, where Barça already had everything settled. With the score at 4-0, Hansi Flick decided to bring him on to gain some match fitness, although his participation was merely symbolic. The tie is practically decided and that context was key for the academy player to have some prominence again, even if only for a few moments.

However, this brief appearance doesn't change his reality at the club. The '10' culé remains the last offensive option for Flick, with no space in the rotations and a future that seems completely detached from Camp Nou. Joan Laporta and Deco are clear: in the summer they will look to move him on, not only for sporting reasons but also to lighten a salary that is around 14 million euros annually.

Exit Options

Amid the various contacts the player's entourage has maintained, Sevilla emerged as one of the clubs most interested in adding him to their ranks. García Pimienta, the current coach of the Andalusian team, knows Ansu Fati well from his time at La Masia and believes that, with confidence, he can regain his best form. He even asked the management to go for him, even if only on loan.

However, and against all odds,  Ansu Fati himself has decided to rule out that option. Despite the interest and the fact that he would get playing time, Sevilla's project doesn't fully convince him. He prefers to wait for other opportunities that he considers more attractive, both in sports and personally.

An Uncertain Future

Ansu's desire remains to reconnect with his soccer, but in a context that truly motivates him to take the step. Although in the past his name sparked interest across Europe, today the situation is quite different: no club has shown intentions to pay a transfer fee for him. The proposals that have reached Barça are loans that don't fully convince: without a purchase obligation and with part of the salary covered by the culés.

In this scenario, the operation becomes even more complicated: the Catalan club expected to raise at least 30 million, but they already assume it will be impossible. The only priority now is to free up salary space and prevent further devaluation. Ansu, meanwhile, continues to wait for an opportunity that allows him to feel important again.
