Better Than Kimmich and Zubimendi: This is Barça's New TOP Surprise Transfer

Barça has definitively forgotten about Martín Zubimendi and Joshua Kimmich. Laporta offers this player a new contract.

The current season is ongoing and both Hansi Flick's technical staff and Barça's offices are fully focused on achieving the best possible results. However, the upper echelons of the Catalan team can't take their eyes off what the squad will be like next season. Meanwhile, both Joan Laporta and Deco are already thinking about the club's potential reinforcements. They know that some positions need to be renewed more urgently than others.

Certainly, the Barça president has conveyed to the German coach that the work related to the transfer market is solely the responsibility of the sports management. Therefore, he has asked Flick that his only concern should be to win all possible titles by the end of the season. However, it is no surprise to anyone that Flick has significant influence in decisions. Therefore, his requests will nonetheless be considered in the offices of the club.

Two Reinforcements Ruled Out

According to the latest information, Barça has distanced itself from the potential transfers of Martín Zubimendi and Joshua Kimmich. Both were strongly considered in the last transfer market and became priority targets. However, after months of discussions between the sports management and the technical staff, it was concluded that they are no longer as necessary as before.

Both Joan Laporta and Deco believe that it is not essential to make expenditures of 60 million euros for both players, knowing that there are many doubts. The exorbitant financial demands involved in signing one of the two stars have led the technical secretariat to halt any operation. With Hansi Flick's approval, there is consensus at Can Barça: The solution is at home and a new contract will be offered.

Negotiations Underway

The defensive pivot is a position that caused many doubts at Barça at the beginning of the season, but Hansi Flick has found a solution. Because Marc Casadó and Frenkie de Jong have performed remarkably when gaining minutes on the field. The young Spanish talent broke into the Barça ranks when no one expected it and the Dutchman reversed the difficult situation he was going through.

However, there is a new reinforcement in mind, as it is not advisable to forget about Marc Bernal. The footballer, just 17 years old, started the season as one of Flick's personal bets and suffered a serious injury in the early league matches. Even so, Barça trusts in his abilities and believes that Bernal is a safe bet. They hope he extends his contract with the club until 2029.
