Official, Barça will sign Europe's best: €0 and better than Julián Álvarez and Haaland

The sporting director is tempted by a player who would leave at no cost

Barça is clear that the priority is to sign a winger. In this regard, the two main options being considered by the sporting management are Luis Díaz and Marcus Rashford. Both names are favored by Hansi Flick, who considers strengthening the flanks to be essential.

Luis Díaz is a more unbalancing player in one-on-one situations and has proven experience in top-level soccer, while Rashford offers versatility and is less expensive. Barça, aware that it can't go for both, is evaluating which operation would be more economically viable. In any case, the goal is to finalize one of these signings before the start of the season.

The center forward, priority next season

Meanwhile, the club also made a decision regarding the center forward. Robert Lewandowski's continuity this season has led Barça to postpone the signing of a pure "9" until 2026. The Polish player, despite his age, remains the attacking reference and Flick counts on him as an undisputed starter for this campaign.

It will be then when Barça makes a strong move for a forward for the future, a strategic investment to lead the project in the coming years. Until then, the focus will be kept on strengthening other priority positions.

Deco proposes a bargain

However, Deco doesn't want to miss the opportunities the market offers, and one of them has recently emerged: Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian forward has been offered and, although he wasn't in the club's initial plans, his profile has started to be considered. Barça values his physical power and goal-scoring instinct, qualities that fit the club's vision for the future.

He would arrive for free

In addition, according to El Nacional, Juventus would be willing to facilitate his departure by offering him a free transfer. This would turn the operation into a golden opportunity for Barça, which could add a top-level forward without having to make a major outlay.

In this scenario, Vlahovic appears as a young option, with room for improvement and experience in top leagues. Barça is considering it, but everything indicates that if Juventus releases the Serbian, the sporting management won't hesitate long to seize the opportunity. It would be a signing for both the present and the future, with minimal cost and still manageable potential.
