Barça Sounds the Alarm Because of Salah: He Has Convinced Him to Leave with Him

The Egyptian forward wants an important player to join him in his new adventure at Liverpool

Liverpool has made the first big move of the summer by securing the continuity of its most decisive player: Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian, tempted by Saudi soccer during recent transfer windows, has renewed his contract for two more seasons, dispelling any doubts about his future. The decision, applauded by the fans,  reaffirms Anfield club's commitment to continue competing at the elite level with a solid project.

Meanwhile, in Barcelona, they observe these moves with some resignation. The Barça club, constrained by the financial fair play limitations, can't strongly enter into major operations. While focusing on strengthening key positions, they see some of their targets slipping away even before the market officially begins.

The Piece Salah Wants at Liverpool

With Salah secured, coach Arne Slot is already working on the next step: finding a forward to complement him.  The chosen one is Alexander Isak, Newcastle's striker and one of the great sensations of the Premier League. His speed, technique, and ability to finish make him an ideal player to enhance the red attack.

Liverpool has the financial muscle to tackle his signing, unlike other offers. The Swede's clause exceeds 100 million euros, but at Anfield, they are willing to make an effort if it means assembling a formidable forward line alongside Mohamed Salah. Slot considers him a key piece to build a competitive team in the medium and long term.

Barça, Without Options

For some time, Isak has been on Deco's agenda. At Barça, they like his profile, and he also convinces Hansi Flick, but his arrival is unfeasible at this moment. With the tight salary cap and the need to prioritize more urgent reinforcements, the club has ruled out entering into million-dollar bids like the one Liverpool might initiate.

In that sense, the possible arrival of the forward to the English team would represent another setback for Barça, which has already lost similar races in the recent past. If Liverpool convinces the player, it will be practically impossible to compete for him again in the immediate future.
