Barça receives one of the highest offers in history for Fermín: enemy No. 1

A tempting offer has arrived at the Catalan club's offices for the midfielder, and there is no consensus

Fermín López has been one of the most positive surprises of the latest season at Barcelona. With potential, attacking ability, and character, the youth academy product has earned a place in the first team's dynamics and has made it clear that he wants to succeed at the club of his life. However, his performance hasn't gone unnoticed, and several clubs, especially outside Europe, have shown interest in his situation.

In an economically delicate context like Barcelona's, every player with a market becomes an opportunity to bring in cash. Joan Laporta and Deco are studying different ways to generate income and free up wage bill space, with an eye on strengthening the attack. Although Fermín isn't one of the players from whom they expected to earn income, the market has made a move.

Important offer from Saudi Arabia

In recent days, Al-Ahli has made a formal offer for Fermín that is around €60 million (about $65 million). The proposal has surprised the blaugrana offices and has been described as "tempting." Since he is a player developed at La Masia, the entire sale would be net capital gain for the club, something that would immediately help with financial fair play.

However, neither Laporta nor Deco want to make a hasty decision. The coaching staff, with Flick in charge, considers Fermín a valuable piece in the squad, especially because of his versatility and room for growth. Although he isn't an undisputed starter, Flick believes he can be important in the rotation and help build a competitive midfield.

Fermín is clear about it

Despite the interest and the numbers, Fermín himself has no intention of leaving. He has expressed his desire to stay at Camp Nou, keep growing as a player, and earn a place in the starting eleven. Unlike other cases, he hasn't put pressure or asked to listen to offers.

The possibility of leaving for Saudi Arabia doesn't appeal to him, neither in sporting nor personal terms. Meanwhile, Chelsea has inquired about his situation, although they haven't made a formal offer. For now, Barcelona keeps waiting, aware that selling Fermín could unlock the arrival of a winger.
