Guardiola prepares the best offer in history to take him from Barça: he will pay...

The Polish goalkeeper has decided to leave FC Barcelona, and the blaugranas are considering entering the transfer market

Pep Guardiola has made a radical decision that could trigger one of the biggest bombs of the summer transfer market. The Catalan coach of Manchester City doesn't want any more scares between the posts and has expressly asked the City board for a top-level signing. The chosen one is none other than Marc-André ter Stegen, the current starting goalkeeper for FC Barcelona.

The German international has established himself as an untouchable piece in the blaugrana squad. However, City's interest could change everything. Guardiola isn't convinced with Ederson, who has lost consistency due to injuries. In addition, there are voices within the English club already working on a complete overhaul of the goalkeeping position, and the option to sign Marc-André ter Stegen is not only appealing but also exciting.

The first contacts have already taken place from England, the goalkeeper's entourage has been informed and, according to sources close to the situation, he doesn't rule out listening to offers. Ter Stegen has always shown  his commitment to Barça, but at 33 years old, he could be tempted by a new sporting challenge.

A strong proposal

Manchester City is preparing an irresistible offer. The Skyblue club could put an amount close to 60 million euros on the table, a figure that Barça wouldn't look upon unfavorably. The financial situation of the Culers remains delicate and the sale of an important asset like the German goalkeeper could ease economic tensions.

Deco, the club's sporting director, has already been informed of the interest. Far from rejecting it immediately, the Portuguese has shown an open stance. Internal sources state that Deco "would accept without hesitation" a deal beneficial to the club if certain sporting and financial requirements are met. The possibility of signing a reliable replacement at a lower cost is also on the table.

Svilar plan B

Barça has been working for months on alternatives in case of an unexpected departure, and one of the big names strongly linked is Mile Svilar. The Roma goalkeeper, who has been directly recommended by Hansi Flick. The profile of Diogo Costa is also appealing. Although his price is higher, the goal would be to fill the gap without weakening the team's competitiveness.

From Ter Stegen's entourage there is no official confirmation, but neither are there denials. The German, who recently renewed his contract until 2028, values both his family stability in Barcelona and the possibility of winning new titles in another major project. Meanwhile, Guardiola wants him now, doesn't want to repeat past mistakes, and sees the German as the perfect leader between the posts.

Barça, therefore, could be forced to make a decision in the coming days. Negotiations could accelerate if City formalizes its offer.  Everything will depend on the player's will and the terms of the transfer; what seemed unmovable is no longer so. If Ter Stegen leaves the club, it won't just be an unexpected move, but a true earthquake in Camp Nou goal, and Pep Guardiola, once again, could come out on top.
