He Only Wants to Go to Barça, He'll Be the First Signing and Is a World-Class Player: Better than Raphinha

An Elite Star Is Running to Be FC Barcelona's First Major Signing Next Year

FC Barcelona's sports management is clear that the summer transfer market will represent a transitional phase in the first team's attacking front. While there are players who have regained their best form, the club is also aware that they must start planning the future of the forward line. In this regard, players like Raphinha have stood out as indisputable pieces in Flick's scheme, but this situation could change next year.

The German coach is already working with Deco on creating a more balanced squad with greater firepower. The Barça coach wants a more vertical team, with the ability to break through on the wings and offensive alternatives in all possible contexts. Although there are no urgencies for now, the sports management doesn't rule out taking advantage of any market opportunity that reinforces this objective.

Barça Is Not Forgotten

With this in mind, one of the names that is once again being mentioned in the halls of Camp Nou is Marcus Rashford. The English international keeps his firm desire to wear the blaugrana jersey, and his camp has already informed the club of his willingness to negotiate. In January, his signing was close to being finalized, but Barça's financial situation and other contractual priorities prevented the agreement.

Now, on loan at Aston Villa, Rashford has regained his best level under Unai Emery's guidance. His performance has been so solid that he has once again caught the attention of major clubs, although he still keeps FC Barcelona as his number one target. With a contract until 2028, the forward is even willing to lower his salary to facilitate his arrival at the club managed by Hansi Flick.

Conditioned Operation

The main obstacle remains economic: despite his willingness, Rashford has a high salary and his transfer wouldn't be cheap. However, his camp has suggested the possibility of negotiating a loan with a purchase option or even forcing a reduction in his price. This would open a more realistic door for Barça to incorporate him if there are departures in the attacking front.

Both Flick and Deco value his profile positively, and although he is not an immediate priority, his signing could be reactivated if the right conditions arise over the summer. The truth is that Rashford has made a clear decision: he doesn't want to continue at Aston Villa or Manchester United. For him, Barça represents much more than a sporting option: it is a personal dream he has held for years, and he wants to make it possible.
