Three last-minute departures to sign Rashford: Barça contacts Manchester

Deco is rushing the final days of the market with several operations in the pipeline to bring the Englishman

Barça still has hopes of securing Marcus Rashford's loan in the final days of the winter market, which closes on February 3. Although time is pressing, the club's sports management is working on the possibility of bringing in the English forward.

Marcus Rashford has become Barça's great option to make a splash in the attack for the second part of the season. In this regard, Barcelona remains confident that they could secure the loan at the last minute.

Internal competition in the forward line: Flick's great need

Hansi Flick considers this addition essential to better rotate the players. Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal can't handle the entire load of matches and minutes, and the arrival of a player like Rashford would allow for greater rotation.

Ferran Torres is fulfilling his role as an offensive alternative, but Ansu Fati and Pau Víctor aren't performing at the level. Ansu is sidelined by Flick, while Pau Víctor hasn't had the opportunity to shine in the first team. Therefore, the arrival of a forward like Rashford wouldn't only bring quality but also a necessary depth in the attack for Barça to compete in all competitions.

Two departures from La Masia

However, to materialize Rashford's loan, Barcelona needs sales. In this regard, the club has already secured a departure with Unai Hernández, captain of Barça B, who has been transferred to Arabia for an amount close to 4.5 million.

This operation will allow Barça to free up space in its squad and generate income, which is crucial for Marcus's arrival. Additionally, another player from Barça Atlètic, Pau Prim, could also follow the same path and move to Saudi Arabia, which would mean additional income for the club.

Barça could obtain 5 million from an indirect deal

Meanwhile, Barça could also generate income from an indirect sale. Mika Mármol, a defender currently playing at Las Palmas, could be transferred to Sevilla. Barça holds50% of the rights to a future sale of Mika, so the club could receive around 5 million.

This sale would represent a significant cash inflow for Barça. With these departures and possible sales, the club is better positioned to attempt to secure Rashford's loan in the final days of the market.
