Tension at Barça, several players lash out at Flick: 'He's been very unfair...'

The young talent from FC Barcelona has made it clear that he is unhappy with his situation

Pablo Torre's future at Barcelona is hanging by a thread. The young midfielder hasn't managed to establish himself in the first team and has experienced a season marked by a lack of playing time and prominence. Although he has shown flashes of quality in the few opportunities he had, especially in the Copa del Rey, he never managed to earn a regular spot in Flick's rotation.

This situation has caused a lot of uncertainty about his continuity. While the Catalan club is preparing for a squad overhaul ahead of next season, Pablo Torre's name appears on the list of possible departures. The Cantabrian, who arrived at Barça with high expectations, seems closer to seeking his fortune elsewhere than fighting for a place at Camp Nou.

Breaks his silence

In an interview with Sport, Pablo Torre was blunt: "Flick has been somewhat unfair with me". The footballer believes he deserved more opportunities because of what he had been showing in training and in the minutes he had on the field. Pablo Torre confessed his great disappointment with the German coach's management, breaking the silence he had kept throughout the season.

These statements haven't gone unnoticed at the club. The board believes these words reflect deep discomfort and, privately, they already assume that the best thing will be to facilitate his departure. Laporta and Deco won't put up obstacles if a formal offer arrives for the player, and it's not ruled out that he could even leave as a free agent, with Barça keeping a percentage of a future sale.

Imminent departure

The most likely option for Pablo Torre is a loan to another team where he can have continuity, although a transfer is also possible if both parties reach an agreement. At Barça they want to avoid a bigger conflict. After the player's comments, they have already started exploring options with other clubs interested in his profile.

Pablo Torre isn't the only case in this situation. Lenglet's departure to Atlético de Madrid under special conditions also reflects the club's policy:  freeing up roster spots and facilitating the exit of those who aren't in the plans. Everything suggests that Pablo Torre will be the next to take that path after making it clear that his relationship with the coach is broken.
