A new player is close to leaving Barça in this winter transfer market thanks to the moves by Deco and the club's sports management. It's no wonder: it's clear that if certain players don't pack their bags and find new destinations, the planned signings can't be carried out either. With only a few days left before the market closes, the possibility of signing Marcus Rashford for the remainder of the season remains hanging in the air.
As is well known, Barça doesn't want to miss any market opportunity that could add to the current squad. In that sense, Deco has had to move quickly to try to finalize an exit that, so far, is on the right track and only a few details remain. With this in mind, and accelerating the roadmap in this final stretch of the market, Barça is confident in closing the deal.
On the way out?
According to the latest information circulating around the club, Eric García is very close to leaving Barça in this winter market. In fact, his departure has always been seen as a firm alternative in case the club needs to part with someone imminently due to the interest of major clubs in him. And despite the fact that the center-back had a great performance last season and has signed good minutes with the culé jersey this season, he doesn't have the expected continuity.
The need to cash in and free up salary mass has led Deco to seek a definitive exit for the young Spanish defender, and in Serie A they are pressing for him. However, nothing is set: Hansi Flick is not at all convinced with Eric's departure and has conveyed this to the culé sports management. The German coach believes he is an important replacement and doesn't want to be left without alternatives considering the injury of Íñigo Martínez and Christensen.
Pressing for him
From Italy, they point out that Cesc Fàbregas's Como has set its sights on Eric García and has already initiated contacts with Barça to close a possible signing. This club is willing to offer a figure close to 8 million euros, although Camp Nou offices remain firm in demanding 10 million as a minimum. With only a few days of the market left, it is expected that contacts between the parties will intensify.
Meanwhile, Como's interest complicates Girona's plans, which also planned to bring back Eric García. The coach of the Catalan team, Míchel, had already indicated on occasions that he would like to have the center-back again. However, the Serie A option is gaining strength and Deco must make a decision, not to mention that Eric García doesn't want to leave the club.
