Rashford and Ferran are to blame: Hansi Flick has stopped trusting him, surprise

A footballer from La Masia has been affected by the latest move from the sports management

Barça has completed one of the most exciting deals of the summer with the signing of Marcus Rashford. The English forward, who arrives on loan from Manchester United, has started training this week with Hansi Flick and has left a very good impression. The club is delighted with his attitude, his commitment, and the level he has shown in the first training sessions.

Rashford has fit in very well with the group and  has shown that he is eager to regain his best form. His talent is undeniable, and now, in a different environment and with a coach who trusts him, Barça hopes he can once again be that game-changing player who shined.

A very good deal economically

Beyond the sporting aspect, Rashford's arrival is also great news on the financial front. The forward has joined on loan and, moreover, without a purchase obligation. This arrangement allows Barça to strengthen with a top-level player without having to make a major outlay.

In addition, it allows the team to gain bench depth and tactical options without compromising the club's financial future. If Rashford performs as desired, Barça will have the opportunity to negotiate an extension, but without being tied down from the start.

An attack with many options

With the arrival of the Englishman, Hansi Flick now has an attack with five big names. Lamine Yamal, Lewandowski, and Raphinha seem to be the most established starters after their great performance last season, but now Marcus Rashford joins, along with Ferran Torres as top-level alternatives. Both can play in several positions across the front line, which gives Flick a very interesting range of tactical options.

This internal competition will be key to facing a long and demanding season, where Barça will compete in several tournaments. Having five forwards of this level will allow rotation, minute management, and the avoidance of physical overloads for key players like Raphinha or Lewandowski.

Jan Virgili, the affected one

However, not all the news is good. Rashford's arrival has had consequences in the preseason, and one of those affected has been Jan Virgili, a Masia talent who was expected to have a prominent role. The coaching staff had initially counted on him, but Rashford's appearance has changed the plans.

Virgili ultimately hasn't been drafted for the preseason tour, and within the club there are fears that this means Hansi Flick doesn't count on him in the short term. It's a tough blow for the youth player, who had worked intensely over the past year to earn an opportunity with the first team.
