PSG and Chelsea Fight Over Barça's Star: Flick Doesn't Want Him and He Will Play With Palmer

Two European giants are pushing hard for a player from the blaugrana team who has lost his starting position.

Barça has rediscovered its essence thanks to Hansi Flick. Since his arrival, the team has regained the playing identity that made it great: possession, control, and a midfield that dominates matches. The culé engine room is now the most important area of the team, and it shines with a cast of young and talented players.

Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, Fermín, Marc Casadó, Pablo Torre, and Dani Olmo make up a midfield that many consider the best in Europe. De Jong is the metronome, Pedri the architect, Gavi the pure energy, and Olmo the perfect wildcard to associate and create danger. They are joined by players with great potential like Casadó, Torre, and Fermín, who have shown they can be important pieces in this project.

Hansi Flick's Starters

As the season progresses, Flick has been defining his gala eleven and, in the midfield, there are three players who have established themselves as starters in important matches. Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, and Dani Olmo are the three who play the most and their combination of technical quality, intelligence, and creativity has made Barça a formidable team.

Additionally, Marc Casadó has been another surprise of the season. Although he is not a regular in the starting eleven, Flick trusts him and has given him many minutes. His ability to recover balls and distribute wisely has earned him a spot in the rotation.

Gavi, Pablo Torre, and Fermín López Playing Less

However, not all midfielders are enjoying the same amount of minutes. Gavi, Fermín López, and Pablo Torre now have a more secondary role, something that has not gone unnoticed. Gavi, who was starting without Olmo, has seen the egarense surpass him.

Meanwhile, Fermín and Pablo Torre have had even fewer opportunities. Despite their quality, the competition is fierce and they have not managed to establish themselves in Flick's scheme. This lack of minutes could generate some discontent among some players, opening the possibility that they might seek an exit in the future.

Chelsea and PSG Pressing

In this context, Gavi's name has started to make waves in the market. According to 'El Nacional', two European giants, Chelsea and PSG, are interested in signing him. Both clubs see in the midfielder an ideal profile to strengthen their midfield and are willing to make big offers to convince him.

Despite the interest, Gavi has no intention of leaving Barça. The blue-and-red academy player is a culé at heart and his desire is to succeed at the club of his life. However, Hansi Flick and Barça's management will have to handle the situation well to ensure Gavi remains a key piece of the blue-and-red future.
