Barça's Locker Room Bans Kimmich After His Latest Words: 'No Forgiveness...'

Joshua Kimmich's signing no longer convinces a large part of the squad and the situation takes a drastic turn.

When everything seemed like Joshua Kimmich would end up becoming one of Barça's main reinforcements for the upcoming transfer market, the situation has undergone a drastic change. The possible signing of the German midfielder by FC Barcelona, after several months, seems not to be generating unanimity within the Barça locker room. Meanwhile, even though Hansi Flick is the main supporter of his arrival, the first team is not at all in agreement with the Barça coach's decision

Certainly, the option for Joshua Kimmich to arrive for free next transfer market remains valid after new complications in renewing his contract with Bayern. However, there are increasing doubts in the Barça offices and the uncertainty with the operation that had been thought for the German has settled in the club. Thus, the locker room is not convinced and Kimmich's incorporation, at this point in the season, remains hanging in the air.

Clear Message: 'We Don't Want Him'

According to the latest information circulating around Barça, at least three players have already conveyed to Laporta their rejection of the German midfielder's arrival. No one doubts that Kimmich, at 30 years old, is one of the best players in his position in the European elite, even more so having an enviable career. However, in FC Barcelona's locker room there are doubts about his adaptation and, mainly, his impact on the team's harmony

It's no surprise to anyone that Barça has struggled a lot to find the harmony that currently reigns in the first team's locker room. With this in mind, part of the squad is concerned that Kimmich could disrupt the good atmosphere in the locker room. Information is circulating that the German is not someone 'easy' to manage and that his character could clash with some of the club's leaders.

Additionally, the German player has reportedly expressed on more than one occasion that his favorite is Real Madrid. That if he had to choose he would go with the whites. All this because he considers they have a better and more complete squad.

Laporta Must Decide

To all this, it must be added that Kimmich is turning 30 years old and there are also those who believe he wouldn't arrive with the ambition that the younger players in the squad have. An idea that directly clashes with what Joan Laporta had in mind before facing the transfer market. Meanwhile, the Barça president wanted to give the first team a quality boost, while the locker room doesn't want to see Kimmich hinder the projection of young talents.

Thus, with the locker room insisting that the German is not a priority, a new dilemma has presented itself for Joan Laporta. The Barça president knows it's a clear market opportunity, but he is also aware that he doesn't have the full support of the locker room. Nothing is decided as Flick and Deco see him as a key reinforcement, but the squad's rejection could weigh on the club's final decision
