Official: Barça Will Pay the €35M to Betis for Their Star: Much Better Than Anthony

Deco has achieved it: Barça gets ahead of the rest of Europe and signs a LaLiga gem with enormous potential

Although the team is having a great season and is already savoring the decisive stretch of the Champions League, work in the offices doesn't stop. The summer market is approaching, and Deco and Joan Laporta have already activated key operations to strengthen the squad for the next season. The goal is clear: to continue adding young talent, but with the ability to make an immediate impact.

Hansi Flick has a say in this new project, and his roadmap is ambitious. A short but versatile squad, with young profiles that maintain high energy throughout the course.

The German coach has pointed out a specific position where he wants a new piece: the winger. Not so much to replace, but to complement and compete from the bench.

A Strategic Role in Attack

In Barça's offensive rotation, there are three names that remain untouchable:  Lamine Yamal, Lewandowski, and Raphinha. But all of them need rest at certain moments of the season.

The demand is very high, and the challenges don't stop. That's why a player with explosiveness, personality, and a game-changer profile is needed.

Deco has worked quietly on an operation that is almost closed. It is a footballer who, despite his youth, has exploded in LaLiga with performances that have caught the attention of all of Europe. A player for the future who already shines in the present.

Direct Relationship with Benito Villamarín

The relationships between Real Betis and FC Barcelona are excellent. They have already closed loans and collaborations in previous seasons, and this time has been no different. As soon as Deco knew that the player was on the radar of other major European clubs, he accelerated the process and traveled to Seville to meet with the verdiblanca board.

The player, meanwhile, is delighted with the possibility of making the leap to a giant like Barça. He knows he is not arriving as a starter, but as a piece that can have real minutes. And with Flick, that's a guarantee: if you perform, you play.

The Chosen One

Yes, Barça has closed a deal with Betis for Jesús Rodríguez, one of the great sensations of LaLiga.  He is just 19 years old, plays as a right winger, and combines boldness, speed, and an innate ability for one-on-one situations. In the Betis locker room, they already call him "the new Joaquín."

His release clause is 35 million euros.  Barça, facing the threat of clubs like Milan or Bayer Leverkusen, has decided to go all in. If a lower agreement isn't reached, Deco is willing to pay the full clause and close the signing as soon as possible.

Jesús Rodríguez has 6 goals and 8 assists this season with Betis's first team. He has been a starter in key matches, has left memorable plays, and his market value has skyrocketed in recent months. Flick has already given the green light and awaits him in the preseason to evaluate him personally.

Barça sees him as a strategic investment.  He can give rest to Lamine or Raphinha, can come in during the final minutes to break closed games, and if he continues to grow, he can become an essential piece  . Additionally, his signing doesn't excessively compromise the club's finances.

Everything Will Be Closed in June

Barça hopes to make the operation official at the beginning of June, right after the end of the season. The player has already said yes, Betis too, and now only the payment format needs to be solved. If there are no unexpected twists, Jesús Rodríguez will be a new player for FC Barcelona in a matter of weeks.

Another gem arrives at Camp Nou. And this time, with the LaLiga seal.
