Neymar goes to Santos and Arabia looks for the replacement in Barça: They offer more than 200M

The Brazilian star has left Al-Hilal, which is searching for reliable replacements in Europe.

Neymar Jr, who until recently played for Al Hilal, has surprised the soccer world by signing for Santos, the club where he began his professional career. Neymar's return to Brazil marks a very unexpected turn in his career, especially after his stint in Saudi soccer, where he was one of the major signings.

The Brazilian star, who left a mark in Europe with his time at Barça and PSG, returns to his home country for a new chapter in his sports life. This transfer is significant for Saudi Arabia, which in recent years has been working hard to attract big stars.

However,  Neymar's departure represents the loss of one of its most representative figures, which leaves a considerable void. While Al Hilal and other Saudi clubs will continue to be strong in terms of signings, Neymar's departure could diminish the league's immediate appeal.

Saudi Arabia seeks replacements

In light of Neymar's departure, Saudi Arabia has no intention of falling behind and continues to look for ways to make a splash in the transfer market. In this regard, rumors have leaked in recent weeks of million-dollar offers for Vinícius Jr and Rodrygo, two of Real Madrid's current stars. Saudi Arabia is said to have proposed astronomical sums to try to entice the players from the white team with the hope of attracting them in the next market.

The possible departure of Vinícius and Rodrygo from Real Madrid is not ruled out, although it seems unlikely that these players will move to Saudi Arabia in the short term. However, the mentioned offers are not only a demonstration of Saudi Arabia's ambition but also an opportunity for these players to secure a lucrative financial future.

They set their sights on Barça

Following this same line of ambitious signings, Saudi Arabia is also eyeing other standout players in European soccer. One of the names is Raphinha, who is having a spectacular season at the Catalan club. With his speed, ability to disrupt, and scoring prowess, Raphinha has established himself as one of Barça's most important players.

In fact, even though it's only February, the Brazilian has accumulated 23 goals and 13 assists, impressive figures that put him on Saudi Arabia's radar. This performance has not gone unnoticed by Saudi clubs, who would seek Raphinha to strengthen their league.

Although the player is in one of his best seasons and has an essential role at Barça, Saudi Arabia's offer could tempt him. However, Barça is not willing to lose him.

Barça refers to the clause and is already thinking about a renewal

Despite Saudi Arabia's interest, Barça is clear that it doesn't want to sell Raphinha. Barcelona refers to the player's release clause, which amounts to 1,000 million euros.

Additionally, Barça plans to renew him shortly, extending his contract beyond 2027. The Brazilian has completely changed his outlook at the club and has been labeled as non-transferable.
