Real Madrid wants to sign him, but he only wants to go to Barça: Xabi Alonso needs him

The Rossonero side scores a point by rejecting a very tough offer for one of its players

New twist in the transfer market, one of the most sought-after stars in European soccer has made a decision that shakes up the continent's giants. Portuguese forward Rafa Leão, striker for AC Milan, has rejected a multimillion-euro offer from Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia and has also closed the door on Real Madrid. The striker only wants to wear the blaugrana jersey and hopes the clubs will reach an agreement soon.

According to Carpetas blaugranas, the Portuguese winger has made his position clear to those closest to him: he wants to play for FC Barcelona.  The Portuguese is willing to wait as long as it takes for the deal to go through. Neither Saudi petrodollars nor the call from Santiago Bernabéu will make him change his mind, Rafael Leão wants to be a culé and he has made up his mind.

This firm determination has even surprised Xabi Alonso, new coach of Real Madrid, who had given his approval for the signing. In the Madrid camp, they consider this move a real stab in the back, especially because his desire is to sign for the eternal rival.  Florentino Pérez also tried, but the player was blunt: he only considers going to Barça.

Araujo doesn't want to go to Milan

Although Milan is not willing to give away its great star, in Camp Nou offices they have found a way to unlock the deal. Sources consulted indicate that a swap between Rafa Leão and Ronald Araújo is being studied.  The Uruguayan center-back, who hasn't had the desired minutes under Flick, would be open to leaving in search of a new challenge and guaranteed prominence.

In Italy, they value the possible arrival of the culé defender very positively, as he would strengthen the central axis of the rossonero squad. Moreover, at Barça they know that Leão's profile would fit perfectly in Flick's project. Fast, electric, and with a knack for scoring, the Portuguese would be a top-level addition for a forward line that needs imbalance and depth.

Replacement for Raphinha

It is not ruled out that the deal could be structured as a loan with a mandatory purchase option. This way, both clubs could balance their accounts more easily within the framework of Financial Fair Play.  Barcelona is looking for creative ways to strengthen itself without putting economic sustainability at risk, and this approach convinces all parties involved.

Joan Laporta has long been dreamingof a high-impact signing and knows that Leão is a golden opportunity. His youth, potential, and desire to play for Barça are ideal ingredients for a strategic reinforcement. In addition, the player has shown clear signs of his commitment, even being willing to lower his salary demands to facilitate the deal.

Within the blaugrana locker room, they view the arrival of the Portuguese favorably, as he would provide direct competition for players like Raphinha, Ferran Torres, or even Dani Olmo. Flick has also given the green light to the move, convinced of the potential the striker can offer in his offensive scheme. Inter could ultimately be his destination.
