Barça signs Europe's best striker: better than Haaland and Julián Álvarez

In the offices of the Catalan club, they have two new options in mind for Barça's attack

Barcelona continues to work against the clock to strengthen its attack ahead of next season. Hansi Flick considers the arrival of a forward who fits into his system and provides dribbling, goals, and versatility to be essential. Laporta and Deco, aware of the financial difficulties the club is facing, are looking for ways to bring in a top-level player without compromising the salary cap or the sporting plan.

Negotiations with Liverpool and Manchester United for Luis Díaz and Marcus Rashford remain open, but they've encountered more obstacles than expected. Both footballers are favored by the German coach and fit the priorities of the sporting management. However, their high costs are making Barça start to consider more affordable options to avoid being left without offensive reinforcements.

New options on the agenda

In this context, two names have emerged that could become alternatives for Barça, and the first is Christopher Nkunku, currently a Chelsea player. The French forward was already on the Catalan club's radar during the last winter transfer window, although at that time his signing didn't materialize. At Stamford Bridge he has lost prominence after the arrival of new players, and Barça's sporting management is considering the possibility of securing a loan deal.

The second name is perhaps the most unexpected: Mason Greenwood. The English footballer, who stood out during his loan at Getafe, has shined in his season with Olympique de Marseille, which has once again sparked the Catalan club's interest. Laporta and Deco value his strong performance, so he could be an interesting option if the club fails to secure its top targets.

Emergency solutions

Both Nkunku and Greenwood are seen at Barça as interesting options. The priority remains to sign a proven winger like Luis Díaz or Marcus Rashford, footballers with a more established profile who would make an immediate impact in Flick's starting eleven. However, if negotiations for both become complicated, the sporting management already has these two options on the table to avoid neglecting a key area of the squad.

Barça's transfer policy in this summer market is marked by caution and the need to adjust every move to the current financial conditions. For this reason, Deco and his team will keep exploring alternatives until they find a balance between quality, price, and potential. Meanwhile, Flick hopes the signings arrive as soon as possible so he can have the full squad for preseason.
