Luis Enrique destroys him with a last-minute bomb: goodbye Barça

The Asturian coach has decided to look for a key player to compete in defense of the title

The summer transfer market could bring a real earthquake at Barcelona, as Luis Enrique Martínez has set his sights on one of the club's most untouchable players. The Asturian coach believes that Marc-André ter Stegen is the perfect replacement to strengthen Paris Saint-Germain's goal. This isn't just a simple interest, but a move that could strain relations between Barça and PSG.

The operation is being considered after the imminent departure of Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Italian goalkeeper, who hasn't managed to convince Luis Enrique. He is getting closer to leaving Parc des Princes, with Paris already thinking about a goalkeeper who can offer absolute guarantees.  They're looking for one who can compete immediately in the Champions League, and in that scenario, Ter Stegen's name appears as the number one priority.

Luis Enrique Martínez, who knows the style  and personality of the German goalkeeper very well,  believes that his experience and consistency fit perfectly into PSG's project. In addition, the former Barça coach knows that the Catalan club is going through financial problems and that a big offer could open the door to negotiations, no matter how unlikely it may seem today.

Chevallier joins PSG

Lucas Chevallier, the young French goalkeeper, is already the new goalkeeper for the team coached by Luis Enrique Martínez, and he was highly regarded by the sporting management. However, at the Parisian club, they believe that he is still in a development phase and that the pressure of defending the goal of a European giant could end up taking its toll.  That's why, the idea of having Ter Stegen to compete with him is so appealing to Luis Enrique.

Meanwhile, Barça views any move coming from Paris with suspicion, as the memory of the Neymar case is still very present. The blaugrana board doesn't forget that the relationship with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi isn't the best. Even so, if PSG's offer were to reach figures that are impossible to refuse, the Catalan club could be forced to listen to it, if that would help ease the situation with Financial Fair Play.

Key piece for Flick

Ter Stegen, a key piece in the past for Hansi Flick, hasn't shown any intention of leaving Barça. His bond with the fans and his role as second captain make him one of the leaders in the locker room. However, in the world of soccer, nothing is impossible, and Luis Enrique's interest adds an explosive ingredient to this market.

At PSG, they trust that the ambition for the Champions League and the possibility of leading a new project could entice the German goalkeeper. If Donnarumma confirms his departure, the French team will make a move with a proposal that could break all the molds. The upcoming summer promises intense emotions for Barça's goal.
