Manchester United wants him now: unprecedented offer to Barça for Fermín López

Barça refuse to sit down to negotiate for Fermín if the offer doesn't exceed 50 million euros

FC Barcelona's sports planning for this summer is marked by a key objective:keeping the young talent that is already part of the club's first team. Despite the economic challenges the entity faces, Barça are clear that they can't lose valuable players below their real value again. In that sense, Laporta has decreed that firmness in negotiations will be total.

For this, the market has already started to move, and several players from the Catalan club are receiving calls from the continent's most important leagues. The outstanding performances of some footballers trained in Barça's academy have caught the attention of elite clubs, especially considering the culé team's season. In that context,  the sports management has had to take a clear stance in response to the first proposals that have recently landed in the offices of Camp Nou.

the premier league wants him

One of the standout names of the summer is Fermín López. The young Barça midfielder has been one of the great revelations of recent seasons, and his emergence has not gone unnoticed. Therefore,Manchester United has already made a first offer of 30 million euros for his signing, but the response from Barcelona has been blunt: not for sale.

The club's management, led by Joan Laporta, has closed ranks around the player: they will not talk for less than 50 million euros for Fermín. They consider his impact on the team too important to let him go for a low figure. At 21 years old, Fermín has played more than 40 matches, contributed goals, assists, and has shown personality in the most demanding moments.

a key piece

The Catalan club not only highlights Fermín López's current performance but also his projection.  Hansi Flick sees him as an ideal footballer for his play style and has already conveyed that he wants to count on him as one of the pillars of his sports project. The renewal of his contract until 2029 reinforces that message: Barça is betting on him in the long term.

Meanwhile,  Fermín doesn't consider leaving the club. His desire is to continue growing in the team of his life, and his environment has shown no interest in negotiating with other clubs. However, the sports management knows that this summer will be long, and the economic pressure will require them to be alert to any offer that could change the plans.
