Historic Offer from PSG to Barça for Koundé, Deco is Clear: 'It's a Lot of Money'

Paris Saint-Germain Asks About a Star of Hansi Flick, but the Barça President Has Responded with a Firm 'No'

FC Barcelona is gearing up for the start of the summer transfer market with a very clear idea: not to weaken the first team. Although moves are anticipated to strengthen certain positions, the Catalan club's priority is to maintain the base that has yielded good results this season. The club's sports management doesn't want to repeat past mistakes, and that means protecting players who are considered essential for the future.

Hansi Flick, along with Deco and Joan Laporta, have agreed that any adjustments must be meticulous, without altering the team's backbone. Therefore, despite receiving very important offers from elite teams, Barça has begun to set clear limits for each of them. In this regard, in recent hours, they have sent a strong message to one of the continent's top teams: Paris Saint-Germain, which remains interested in a key player.

Many Millions on the Table

According to the latest information circulating in the Barça environment, the team led by Luis Enrique has put 100 million euros on the table to acquire Jules Koundé. However, Barça has been firm in its response: the French center-back is not for sale. Deco was responsible for personally informing the Parisian club that there will be no possible negotiation by order of Joan Laporta, who wants absolutely nothing to do with PSG.

It's no wonder: the coaching staff considers Koundé a key piece in the project, a stance that has the full support of the management. His versatility and performance this season, as well as his impact in the locker room, make his continuity non-negotiable. With more than 50 matches played this season and a standout participation in most of them, his role at Barça goes far beyond what was expected.

Vital Player for the Club

Joan Laporta has been very clear: there is no intention to weaken the defense while solutions are still being sought for recent injuries. Hansi Flick, meanwhile, sees Koundé as one of his defensive pillars. The French center-back has managed to adapt to different contexts, showing his reliability and commitment to the club, qualities that make him a difficult element to replace for Barça.

Moreover, the Catalan team has defined its planning around a gradual evolution of the sports project that Flick has in hand. Keeping established players like Jules Koundé is part of the path to continue growing on the field. His departure would leave a difficult gap to fill, especially in a market where defenders with his profile and competitive level are scarce.
