Lamine Yamal lashes out at Barça: they've kicked out his best friend for no reason

The Barça footballer is certain that they must meet his demand regarding one of his teammates and closest friends

Barcelona's sporting management has encountered an unexpected obstacle in one of its top priorities for the transfer market. The blaugrana side had been working for weeks on bringing in a winger to support and free up Lamine Yamal. The chosen one, for some time now, was none other than Nico Williams, although Athletic Club's stance and the demands from the player's camp have pushed him away from Barcelona.

The main problem Deco faces isn't just financial; Barcelona had counted on Nico's release clause, set at €58 million. Although it could be manageable with certain sales, Athletic has dug in its heels and made it clear that it won't negotiate for the player. From Bilbao, they refer to the clause and aren't willing to allow any kind of installment payment, nor do they consider including players in the deal.

This position has caused some frustration in the Barça offices, meanwhile, Nico Williams's camp has started to explore other options. According to several reports, his agent has already started talks with Bayern Munich, one of the main clubs interested in signing the Spanish international. Not only that: the financial proposal demanded for his client is substantial, asking for a salary of €20 million per season.

Nico wants to be blaugrana

This figure has raised concerns within Barça, although they believe Nico would be a strategic signing, both in terms of profile and age. Right now, his salary demands are completely outside the current blaugrana margin for maneuver for next season. In the current Financial Fair Play context, it's impossible for the club to take on a salary of that size without causing internal imbalance.

From the locker room, Lamine Yamal is one of those most alert to this deal; the 16-year-old talent has expressed his desire to sign him on several occasions.  Lamine wants to have a teammate on the other wing and his connection with Nico Williams is total, both on and off the field. In fact, during the national team camp, both have shared moments that show their chemistry.

Negotiation underway

However, the reality of the market is forcing Barça to move cautiously. Although they still see Nico as a great opportunity, they aren't willing to mortgage their planning. In addition, sources close to the deal say that Bayern is willing to match the player's demands, which could tip the balance toward Munich in the coming weeks.

The situation remains open, but it seems increasingly difficult for Nico Williams to wear blaugrana colors this summer. If the player's camp continues to prioritize financial matters, Barça will have to look at other more affordable alternatives; for now, the ball is in the striker's court. Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal is beginning to accept that he'll have to keep being the team's main offensive creator.
