Official, Florian Wirtz has revealed his new team: it greatly affects Barça, controversy

German talent will indirectly shape the future of other players

The summer transfer window's biggest move is Florian Wirtz's departure. The young German talent is ready to take the definitive leap in his career. His decision comes after Xabi Alonso's departure was confirmed, who made him shine in the Bundesliga and who has signed with Real Madrid for next season.

Wirtz has proven to be much more than a prospect. At just 22 years old, he has established himself as one of the most creative midfielders in Europe. His departure will be one of the main topics of the summer, not only because of his talent, but also due to the interest from European giants who are already positioning themselves to sign him.

Liverpool, in the lead ahead of Bayern

For months, everything pointed to Florian Wirtz's future being at Bayern Munich. The Bavarian club has been monitoring the player for some time and he was considered the natural heir to Thomas Müller. However, the latest reports have brought a surprising twist.

According to Fabrizio Romano and several media outlets, Liverpool has taken the lead in the race for the German international. In addition, his intelligence in the final third and his tactical maturity fit perfectly with the Anfield club's philosophy.

The domino effect that could affect Barça

This unexpected turn is not good news for Barça. Bayern would activate a plan B that goes directly through the blaugrana squad. According to several sources, the Bavarian club has set their sights on Dani Olmo, who returned to Barça a year ago after succeeding at Leipzig.

Olmo has been a key piece in Hansi Flick's system. With his creativity, mobility, and ability to find space between the lines, he has fit perfectly into the German coach's system. The Barça board considers him a key player and is not willing to listen to offers.

Dani Olmo, established

Despite Bayern's interest, Barça remain optimistic. They fully trust that Dani Olmo won't leave the club this summer. Raised at La Masia and after years of dreaming of wearing the blaugrana jersey again, Olmo fulfilled a wish when he signed his return a year ago.

The club believes that emotional connection will outweigh any offer. In addition, Olmo feels valued, has been a protagonist in a successful season, and has the full trust of the coaching staff and the fans.  Although Bayern may try, Barça are determined to secure him as one of the cornerstones of Flick's project.
