Barça has planned the departure of a footballer but has two options to carry out the operation.

Barça wants to offload several players during the upcoming transfer windows. Among the players who could leave the team are Frenkie de Jong, Ansu Fati, Pablo Torre, Eric García, and Ferran Torres, all of whom have an uncertain future at the club.

Deco is carefully evaluating each player's options, seeking the best options for them and for the club. Some of these players, although still young and talented, don't completely fit into Flick's scheme for various reasons.

The departure of some of these players is almost a certainty, especially considering the club's financial needs and its desire to sign new players. In particular, players like Ansu Fati and Eric García could leave as early as this winter.

Ferran Torres, One of the Sales Proposed by Deco

Ferran Torres is one of the players who, although considered useful by the sports management, is very likely to leave. The Valencian forward joined Barça in January 2022 with high expectations, but his performance has been inconsistent. Although his versatility in attack is appreciated, the club prefers to sell him to make way for higher-level players.

With a contract until 2027, Ferran still has an interesting market value, and Barça will look to take advantage of this situation. Barça faces the reality that, despite Ferran's potential, the team needs to bring in quality players to compete with Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Lewandowski.

Two Options with Ferran

Barça is considering two possible avenues for Ferran Torres's departure. The first would be through a swap deal, an option that is being seriously considered in the club's sports planning. The Barça board has identified several players who could be of interest to Barça, with Alexander Isak being one of the favorites.

The Swedish forward, currently at Newcastle United, is one of the forwards the club likes most, and Ferran is liked in Newcastle. Through a swap that includes Ferran Torres, Barça could acquire Isak, thus strengthening its offensive line. Barça would bolster its attack with a player who is proving to be a star in the Premier League, a highly demanding championship.

Flick Would Accept the Sale for 25 Million

The other option Barça is considering is the direct sale of Ferran Torres. In this case, the club would accept offers starting at 25 million euros, according to El Nacional.cat. Despite not having reached the expected level, Ferran remains a player with a good reputation in Europe, which could open the door to offers.

If the swap doesn't materialize and attractive offers in the form of players don't come in, Barça might opt to definitively sell Ferran. Ferran Torres's future at Barça seems, therefore, increasingly distant from Camp Nou.
