Fabrizio Romano reveals the latest between Rodrygo and Barça: 'They're willing to...'

The Italian shares his opinion about the future of one of the stars who is not part of Xabi Alonso's plans and who could become a Barça player

The transfer market keeps delivering unexpected twists. Rodrygo Goes, one of Real Madrid's stars, has made a key decision about his future. The Brazilian striker has said "no" to Al Nassr's multimillion-dollar offer, rejecting Arab soccer despite the enormous interest and the astronomical figure he was offered.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the player has made it clear that he doesn't want to play in Saudi Arabia. His priority is still Europe, and among his preferences, he has surprised by leaving the door open to a possible move to FC Barcelona.

Rodrygo is aware that his situation at Real Madrid has become delicate. The arrival of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick, along with Vinicius's emergence as an undisputed starter on the left wing, has reduced his opportunities. The Brazilian doesn't want to be a substitute and is considering stepping aside if he doesn't have a leading role.

Real market option

In this context, Barça has appeared on the horizon as a real possibility. The Catalan club is keeping a close eye on the situation and keeps alive the hope of signing Rodrygo  if the conditions are right. Although his signing seems very complicated due to the rivalry between both entities, the blaugrana sporting management isn't ruling out any option.

Romano points out that the player's entourage has listened to Barça alertly. Although there are no advanced negotiations, the interest is mutual and Rodrygo wouldn't mind wearing the blaugrana jersey. A move that just a few months ago would have seemed impossible is now gaining momentum due to Real Madrid's current context.

Xabi Alonso's final decision

Additionally, Xabi Alonso, who is replacing Carlo Ancelotti on the Madrid bench  doesn't see Rodrygo Goes as a key piece in his project. This lack of trust, combined with internal competition, brings the Brazilian even closer to a possible departure in 2025, and he is considering his destination.  Despite Barça's option, Rodrygo is still seriously considering other alternatives in the Premier League.

According to the Italian journalist, both Arsenal and Liverpool have come knocking. Both clubs are offering him an immediate leading role and an ambitious sporting proposal, something that greatly appeals to the striker. In particular, Liverpool is emerging as one of the big favorites, well ahead of other teams like Barça itself.

The sad incident with Diogo Jota means Liverpool has to look for a footballer who can help its fans recover from such a blow.  For many, Rodrygo would be one of the main candidates to take his place. Additionally, Arne Slot's attacking style would fit perfectly with the Brazilian's characteristics, but Deco isn't giving up and wants to fight for him.
