Barça don't want discontented players in the squad

Barça faces a summer that could be more eventful than expected, especially in the midfield. The overbooking in the center of the field is evident, and the accumulation of talent in that area could lead to some departures.  With Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, Pablo Torre, Marc Casadó, Fermín, and Dani Olmo all competing for similar positions, it's impossible for all of them to have the prominence they desire.

This situation creates a dilemma for the club. On one hand, having a large squad with quality alternatives is positive; on the other, keeping players of such high level satisfied when they don't play regularly is a challenge. Flick has tried to balance the workload, but the playing system and the trust placed in certain names have left others in the background.

The players with the least minutes

In this regard, Gavi and Fermín are two of those with the least minutes. Both players, young, talented, and with a strong connection to the club, expected a more prominent season with Flick, but the reality has been different. Gavi, who was indisputable before the injury, doesn't have the desired prominence.

Meanwhile, Fermín, who arrived in full swing after a brilliant summer, has played more as a substitute than as a starter. Despite his commitment when given the opportunity, neither Gavi nor Fermín have managed to secure a spot  in the starting eleven.

There is a player who might be upset

According to various media reports, Fermín's case is the most concerning for the sports management. The player from Campillo arrived at the start of the season with very high expectations, especially after leading the Spanish national team in the Olympic Games and being chosen as MVP. Everything pointed to him taking a step forward in the first team, but reality hasn't lived up to expectations.

Fermín feels he has done enough to earn more minutes, and his entourage is already hinting that he is not happy. The footballer has shown personality and commitment, but also ambition. If he doesn't feel valued, he might consider a change of scenery in search of more prominence.

Barça could accept offers exceeding 50M

The club is clear that they don't want anyone unhappy in the locker room. The locker room atmosphere has been one of the great strengths this season, and keeping it intact is a priority. In that sense, if Fermín decides to stay and fight for his place, he will have everyone's support.

But if he insists on leaving, Barça would be willing to listen to offers starting at 50M  euros. Interested teams are not lacking, and one of the most persistent is Atlético de Madrid. Cholo believes he would fit perfectly into his scheme, and the club has already expressed its interest in signing him.
