Barça Negotiates with AC Milan and It's Not for Rafael Leao: Official, They're Taking the Best

The blaugrana team wants a footballer who plays in the Italian team

Barça continues to explore the market in search of reinforcements for the next season, but some of its most desired options seem to be getting complicated. One of the names that has been on the table in recent months is Rafael Leão. His speed, dribbling, and goal-scoring ability make him an ideal profile to strengthen the attack, but signing him represents a very difficult operation.

According to the latest reports, Milan will demand a very high figure to let their star go. Joan Laporta knows that bringing Leão would be a statement of intent to return the team to the European elite. However, the club's financial limitations make this signing almost impossible, as Milan is not willing to negotiate for less than 100 million euros.

Luis Díaz Has Moved Ahead on the List

Faced with the difficulties in signing Leão, the name of Luis Díaz has started to gain more traction in Barça's offices. The Colombian winger, currently at Liverpool, is a player with similar characteristics. Moreover, the Colombian's price is more accessible than the Portuguese's, making him a much more realistic option.

Liverpool would be willing to negotiate his sale for around 80 million, a figure that, although still high, is more manageable for Barça if they manage to free up salary space. Additionally, the English club wouldn't put as many obstacles in his way, which facilitates the operation. In this context, Luis Díaz has become the main candidate to become Barça's new winger next season.

Barça Is Interested in a Milan Player

According to the portal 'E-Notícies', Barça is interested in Tijjani Reijnders, a midfielder from Milan. The Dutchman has been one of the revelations this season, standing out for his vision of the game, passing accuracy, and arrival in the opponent's area.

Barça sees Reijnders as a player who could bring a different profile to their midfield, but so far there have been no formal contacts with Milan. The 26-year-old footballer is well-regarded by the sports management, but he is not an absolute priority in market planning.

Not a Priority

The main reason why Barça hasn't advanced in their interest in Reijnders is that the midfield is well-covered. With players like Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, and others, the squad has enough talent in that position.

In any case, if the market opportunity arises and Milan is willing to sell at a reasonable price, Barça might consider making a move for Reijnders. However, the priority remains to strengthen other positions, especially in attack.
