Official, Deal Closed: Ansu Fati and €65M to Bring the World Star to Barça

The former great jewel of La Masia has its days numbered and could serve as a bargaining chip

Ansu Fati Is Going Through the Most Difficult Moment of His Career at Barça. Once considered the heir to Lionel Messi, he has gone from being one of soccer's great promises to a player without prominence. With Hansi Flick's arrival on the Barça bench, his situation has worsened even more, as the German coach doesn't even call him up for matches.

The Lack of Confidence in Him Is Evident, and It Seems Increasingly Clear That His Time at Barça Is Coming to an End. Injuries have been a huge obstacle in Ansu's progression, and he has never been able to regain the level he showed in his early years. Despite having opportunities during his loan to Brighton last season, he didn't manage to shine, and Barça also doesn't see him as a key piece for the future.

Barça Is Watching the Market for a '9'

Meanwhile, as Ansu Fati is on the way out, Barça is looking for signings in attack. The sports management wants to sign a top-level center forward, and the main target is Alexander Isak. The Swedish forward from Newcastle is one of the most outstanding players in the Premier League, and his profile fits perfectly with what the Barça team is looking for.

Isak is a forward with mobility, power, and scoring ability, something that Barça needs to complement its attack and to replace Lewandowski.

Barça Seeks to Solve Two Objectives in One Operation

According to 'El Nacional.cat', Barça is considering the option of combining both operations in a single move:  sending Ansu Fati to Newcastle plus 65 million in exchange for Isak. The idea behind this proposal is to use the Spanish winger as a bargaining chip to reduce the cost of signing the Swedish forward.

For Barça, this operation would make sense from both a financial and sporting perspective. It would get rid of a player who no longer counts and, at the same time, secure the arrival of a top-level scorer.

Newcastle Will Make It Very Difficult

However, Newcastle is not willing to accept this offer. According to the same information from 'El Nacional.cat', the English club is not interested in incorporating Ansu Fati. The Swedish forward is their great star and they would only agree to negotiate his departure for a much higher amount than 100 million.

If Newcastle remains firm in its demand for such a high figure, the option to sign Isak could be ruled out, forcing the Barça club to look for accessible alternatives. For now, the situation remains open, but what seems clear is that Ansu Fati's days at Barça are numbered.
