Alert at Barça, Guardiola isn't the only one who wants Olmo: 'It's a lot of money...'

Barça's midfielder has several offers in the transfer market looking ahead to the summer

FC Barcelona has once again placed several of its players in the European showcase, and one of the names generating the most interest is Dani Olmo. After his return to the club that trained him, the midfielder has completed an outstanding season under Hansi Flick's leadership, establishing himself as one of the team's offensive pillars. His tactical intelligence, ability to appear between lines, and versatility have made him an indispensable player in the Barça machinery.

Barça, aware of his value,  has no intention of letting him go. The bet on Olmo was strategic: his signing represented both a sporting investment and a symbolic message of reclaiming homegrown talent. Therefore, the sports management insists that his continuity is non-negotiable, unless an out-of-market offer arrives or the player himself requests to leave.

the market doesn't give up

Obviously, none of these scenarios are on the table at the moment, but the market insists on taking Dani Olmo out of Barça. Although Pep Guardiola had already shown interest in the midfielder to strengthen Manchester City, he is not the only coach willing to go all out for him. In Germany, Bayern Munich has placed the Barça midfielder on their radar at Vincent Kompany's request.

With the new coach at the helm, the Bavarian club has begun a restructuring that includes high-level reinforcements, and Olmo has been identified as an ideal profile. This is as long as Bayern fails to sign Florian Wirtz, who is the current priority for the Germans. The problem for the Bavarians is that Liverpool has taken the lead in negotiations, complicating their plans.

barça responds

With all that in mind, Olmo's figure gains weight as a serious alternative given his experience in the Bundesliga and his knowledge of the environment. That makes him a safe option for Bayern, who doesn't want to miss out on a top-level reinforcement in the midfield. But despite the rumors, the message at Camp Nou is firm: Dani Olmo is not for sale.

The sports management led by Deco and Flick's coaching staff consider him a strategic piece. In just one season, the Catalan has managed to adapt quickly, contributing goals, judgment, and leadership at key moments. For Flick, he is one of the most complete players in the squad and a guarantee in any offensive system.

From the player's environment, calm is also conveyed. Olmo feels comfortable in Barcelona, values the sports project, and is committed to the challenge of continuing to win titles with the Barça jersey. Moreover, as of today, he doesn't contemplate a change of scenery.
