Comeback Victory to Stay at the Top of Liga F (4-1)

Barça won at home against Valencia, coming back from an initial goal by Marina Martí.

Barça adds another home victory to continue leading Liga F for another week. Valencia CF, the last in the standings, was looking to compete to try to break the bad streak of 7 matches without a win. Pere Romeu decided to rest some of the more regular players, with only 2 players repeating in the starting eleven.

Before the match started

Barça's Good Reaction After 0-1

The first chances of the match didn't take long to arrive. Alexia Putellas shot across after a great pass from Rolfö and was close to scoring the first. Minutes later, Ewa Pajor chipped the ball over the rival goalkeeper, and the crossbar prevented her from opening the scoring.

Valencia tried to find some transition, and Gemma Font made a remarkable save after an individual play by Marina Martí past the 10th minute. A few minutes later, the same number 7 of Valencia scored the first of the match with a great shot to the top corner.

The blaugrana team didn't take long to react, and Alexia equalized the score after a play with several rebounds in the area. In the 22nd minute of the match, Barça managed to turn the score around thanks to a magnificent collective play between Kika and Alexia, which the Portuguese player finished perfectly.

Goal by the 'Pichichi' to Provide Calm

The match continued with the same dynamic after the break, with Barça dominating and Valencia waiting well-organized at the back. After great missed chances, Ewa Pajor scored the 3-1 thanks to a cross from Vicky López. Clàudia Pina left the field limping with 10 minutes remaining.

Aitana sealed the match with a powerful shot from inside the area before reaching the 90th minute to make it 1-4. With this victory, Barça now has 4 consecutive wins in Liga F after the stumble against Levante at home.

With an apparently calm situation in the league marked by a 5-point advantage over the second, Barça enters the decisive stretch of the season. Next Wednesday, they must confirm their passage to the Copa de la Reina final against Madrid, and before the end of the month, they will face Wolfsburg in the Champions League.
