Confirmed, Xavi Hernández Has a New Team: He Wants to Take a Barça Player

The 'Red Devils' are considering undertaking a profound revolution, and the culer team could be affected.

Manchester United Remains Trapped in an Endless Crisis. The Old Trafford team, which once dominated the Premier League and Europe, is adrift once again this season and finds itself in a disastrous position in the league standings. Currently, it occupies the fifteenth place in the English league, far from the European spots.

One of United's main problems in recent years has been its sports planning. Despite spending astronomical figures on signings, the team has failed to find an identity or a solid foundation.

Some of the most recent signings have been a total failure, such as Rasmus Hojlund, for whom they paid 85 million euros. There's also the case of Joshua Zirkzee, who arrived for 42 million but hasn't had an impact so far, and Mason Mount, for whom they shelled out 65 million.

Ruben Amorim in Crisis at Manchester United

Additionally, in an attempt to change the current course, Manchester United decided to part ways with Erik ten Hag at Christmas and bet on Ruben Amorim as the new coach. However, the Portuguese coach, who had impressed at Sporting Lisbon, hasn't managed to straighten out the situation either. Since his arrival, the team has recorded ten wins, nine losses, and two draws, a mediocre statistic that reflects the lack of evolution in the team's play.

Amorim hasn't made the team more solid or competitive. Despite some individual flashes from players like Bruno Fernandes or Amad Diallo, United still hasn't found a defined playing style. Defensive problems persist, and the lack of a reliable forward remains a huge burden for the team.

The locker room also seems divided, with several players showing their frustration over the constant system changes and the lack of a clear plan. Although the management continues to publicly support Amorim, rumors about his possible dismissal are starting to gain strength. If the situation doesn't improve in the coming weeks, United might look for a new coach for the next season.

The 'Red Devils' Target Barça in Their Revolution

Amid this crisis, Manchester United plans a new revolution in the summer. According to 'El Nacional.cat', Ruben Amorim's continuity is in doubt, and one of the names that has emerged as a possible candidate for the bench is Xavi Hernández. The Barça coach is currently not coaching, and United might try to convince him to lead their reconstruction project.

But Xavi isn't the only name related to Barça that interests United. Fermín López is also on the English club's agenda. However, Barça has no intention of parting with him, and any attempt by United to sign him will be met with a firm refusal.
