Confirmed, Simeone Takes Barça's Most Troublesome Player: Flick Couldn't Stand Him Anymore

Atlético de Madrid Wants to Fish in Can Barça Given the Situation of One of the Players Who May Leave

FC Barcelona Faces a Period of Significant Changes Ahead of the Next Transfer Market. With Hansi Flick on the blaugrana bench, the club has activated a series of internal moves that haven't sat well with all the players. One of the players who has suffered the most from this change of direction has been a goalkeeper who, despite proving his reliability between the posts, is not favored by the Heidelberg coach.

Despite being considered a goalkeeper of many guarantees by a large part of the fans and the locker room, his role has been reduced to a secondary one. A situation that has not only affected his performance but has also strained his relationship with the coach. Sources close to the locker room assure that the disagreement with Hansi Flick has been constant, with decisions that have left the Alicante goalkeeper out even in rotation matches.

The player, who once thought of succeeding with the first team, has made the decision to seek a new destination, he doesn't want to continue being a residual option. He knows that his time at the club has come to an end and that, at 25 years old, he needs continuity, minutes, and an environment that truly trusts his talent. His entourage is already working on finding him an exit as soon as possible.

Celta, Girona, and Simeone Keep an Eye on Peña

Several LaLiga teams have shown interest in his addition, Celta de Vigo and Girona have conveyed to him that he could be a starter from day one. Additionally, his name has also reached the agenda of Atlético de Madrid. The red-and-white club is keeping an eye on the situation of  Juan Musso and if the departure of  Jan Oblak is finally confirmed after five years as the colchonero goalkeeper.

The possibility of changing scenery doesn't scare him; on the contrary, he believes he has already proven his worth, especially in the first team culé. Whenever the goalkeeper has had to play, he has performed excellently. He has very good ball distribution, reflexes, and a great personality  that allows him to withstand the pressure of demanding scenarios, however, he wants to choose his next destination wisely.

Barça Will Decide in Summer

For now, Barça hasn't officially commented on his future, but internally they know that the decision is practically made. He will leave this summer, seeking stability, minutes, and, above all, professional respect. Because although he has more than fulfilled when necessary, he feels he hasn't been valued as he deserves.
