Laporta speaks out about the uncalled penalty on Koundé

The president of FC Barcelona attended his appointment at the City of Justice and took the opportunity to denounce the refereeing in Getafe.

Laporta usually doesn't keep quiet, and this time was no exception. The president was summoned to court for an alleged fraud case of 4.7 million euros. The media gathered in l'Hospitalet to try to get a statement from him.

Barça's Complaints about the Refereeing in Getafe

Barcelona fans believe that the referee of the Getafe-Barça match, González Fuertes, had a strong influence on the final result of the game. The reason? A possible penalty not called on Koundé, who was the victim of a continuous hold by Uche in the Getafe area.

Neither González Fuertes nor the VAR referee, Hernández Maeso, considered the action sufficient to award the penalty. The only player to speak out was the French full-back himself, although he preferred not to add fuel to the fire: "No comment."

Barça's complaints are mainly based on the comparison with a penalty awarded to Real Madrid against the same opponent. On that occasion, Nyom held Rudiger after being warned more than once, and the referee awarded a penalty.

Additionally, Barça's complaints are based on the referee's permissiveness toward the multiple time-wasting and provocations by Bordalás's team. However, none of this surprised the Barça players, who already know what it means to go to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

Hansi Flick has chosen, since arriving on the FC Barcelona bench, not to speak too much about refereeing decisions. So far, he has kept to it. The president, Joan Laporta, however, this time didn't want to keep quiet and criticized the referee of the Getafe-Barça match.

Laporta: "The Refereeing in Getafe is a Disgrace"

Laporta, outraged, was blunt when asked about the uncalled penalty on Jules Koundé that has caused so much commotion.

"The refereeing in Getafe is a disgrace. Not calling that penalty on Koundé is a scandal. A scandal. You should repeat it more times."
