Confirmed, deal closed with PSG: Ansu Fati leaves and Barça comes out ahead

The young forward doesn't have continuity at Barça and Mendes wants to find him an exit as soon as possible.

There are increasingly more contacts between Jorge Mendes, Deco, and Joan Laporta, considering that the Portuguese agent is fully focused on collaborating with Barça once again. In fact, the parties have held meetings until a couple of days ago with the aim of finding solutions for the future of some of their represented players. In that sense, Mendes has personally involved himself in finding a destination for Ansu Fati, whether in the form of a loan or a definitive sale.

The renowned agent at Can Barça knows that Hansi Flick doesn't count on Ansu Fati and was supportive of him leaving the club in the winter transfer market. In fact, the German coach believes that the best thing for the young culé striker is to leave and find a place where he can have prominence and regain his level. Thus, and thinking about Ansu Fati's progression, Jorge Mendes has presented an interesting proposal to the higher-ups of FC Barcelona.

A new adventure

According to the latest information circulating in the Barça environment, the main objective of the media-savvy representative is to find a place that ensures minutes for Ansu Fati. The former Sevilla and Brighton player has been completely left out of Flick's rotations and it's already very difficult for him to regain the prominence he once had. In fact, the German coach has already left the young culé striker out of key match call-ups, such as in the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid.

Therefore, there's no doubt that the best thing to relaunch Ansu's career is to say farewell to Barça once again and try a new adventure in the European elite. His young age allows him to try his luck in another team, and it's only a matter of knowing what his destination will be. Meanwhile, Jorge Mendes is finalizing those details, knowing that there is a significant number of offers, a loan seems like the most probable solution.

Swap on the horizon

Evidently, Barça also wants to benefit from Ansu's departure. Deco had focused his efforts on the remote possibility of signing Marcus Rashford in the current transfer market, but without departures from the club, the operation didn't materialize. Now, and in exchange for Ansu, Mendes has offered another player who is on his roster of represented players to fill the spot the young player would leave in the locker room.

And that player is Marco Asensio, who finds himself in a situation practically identical to Ansu Fati's. The Spanish striker is no longer part of Luis Enrique's plans, and everything points to him being practically forced to leave Paris Saint-Germain sooner rather than later. Mendes hopes that Laporta and Deco are interested in signing Marco Asensio, although at Barça they are not convinced knowing that Rashford is a firm alternative for the club.
