Laporta prepares another bomb: Nico Williams and Joan Garcia won't be the only signings

The President wants to make a statement in the market

Barça has made Joan García's signing official. After weeks of speculation and discreet negotiations, the culé club has confirmed his arrival. Joan García arrives hungry, eager to compete and claim the goal for the next ten years.

Joan García, 24 years old, was one of the revelations of La Liga and his arrival at the blaugrana side marks the start of an ambitious transfer market. The next name on the list is none other than Nico Williams, Athletic's winger.

Everything agreed with Nico

According to sources close to the club, Barça already has a full personal agreement with Nico Williams. The player is more than excited about the possibility of wearing blaugrana and he's already said "yes" to the sports project led by Flick. The Catalan club has moved quickly to get ahead of other offers like Bayern or Arsenal, who were also on the lookout.

All that's left is to pay the €58 million ($58 million) release clause. The operation isn't simple due to the club's delicate financial situation, but the sporting management is working on solutions. The sale of assets, agreements with sponsors, or even the departure of players could be the key to unlocking the deal.

Possible moves on the left back

Barça's market doesn't end with Nico, since the possible departure of Gerard Martín to the Premier League could lead to more moves. The young full-back has attracted the interest of several English clubs and if his move is finalized, the blaugrana club would go for Alejandro Grimaldo.

Grimaldo, a Barça youth product and currently at Bayer Leverkusen, has had a spectacular season and would be willing to return if the opportunity arises. His experience, offensive profile, and knowledge of the club make him an ideal option to strengthen the left side.

Perisic or Rashford on the radar

Additionally, Barça is still alert to opportunities in attack. The idea is to add a different profile, with experience and low cost. In this sense, the name of Ivan Perisic, whose contract is ending and would arrive as a free agent, is gaining traction.

Another option being considered is the loan of Marcus Rashford. The English striker hasn't had his best year at Manchester United and would welcome a change of scenery. Although his arrival would depend on a loan with no purchase obligation, his quality would be a tremendous plus for the blaugrana attack.
