Cubarsí Discovers It, Barça Is Knocked Out: 'He Has Betrayed Us, Negotiates with Bayern'

The young center-back has revealed key information that directly affects Joan Laporta and Deco's plan

Pau Cubarsí Is Not Just a Promise, He's Already a Reality. At just 18 years old, he has secured a permanent spot in Hansi Flick's starting eleven. His leadership, composure, and ball-playing ability have made him the new cornerstone of the Barça defense.

Barça has reacted quickly and has already secured him with a significant contract renewal. Laporta doesn't want any surprises, and amid interest from major European clubs, he secured his continuity until 2030. But the young center-back also wants to build a winning team, and that's why he has issued an important warning to the club.

Barça Wants an Ideal Partner for Cubarsí

Defense is a priority for this summer.  Although Íñigo Martínez has performed exceptionally and Ronald Araújo remains important, the club knows more solidity is needed. Above all, a young center-back who can grow alongside Pau.

Dean Huijsen is the chosen one. Flick is won over with his profile: dominant in aerial play, quick to intercept, and skilled at playing out from the back. He would fit perfectly into the playing model the German coach is building.

The Spanish-Dutch defender has excelled this season in the Premier League. On loan from Juventus, he has been one of the standout names at Bournemouth under Andoni Iraola. His impact has been immediate, so much so that he has already debuted with the Spanish National Team.

In that environment, Pau Cubarsí has shared the locker room with him, and they understand each other perfectly on and off the field. The idea of forming a duo both at Barça and in 'La Roja' excites many. But that partnership may not materialize at Camp Nou.

Pau Cubarsí Issues the Warning

Cubarsí has conveyed key information to Deco and Laporta.  Dean Huijsen is already negotiating with Bayern Munich.  The Bavarian giant has accelerated the negotiations and is willing to close his signing for about 35 million euros.

This news has hit Barça's offices like a cold shower. They believed they had a good position to convince the player, but Bayern has moved sooner and better. Flick's interest hasn't been enough to get ahead of the German team.

Bayern has promised Huijsen an important role from day one. In Munich, they are looking to renew their defense following Upamecano's injuries and the possible departure of De Ligt. Additionally, they consider the Spaniard a strategic long-term piece.

If it closes, it will be a great missed opportunity for Barça. The club wanted to give Cubarsí a future partner, someone with whom to build the defense of the next decade. Now, they will have to look at other options.

Will There Be a Response from Barça?

Laporta hasn't thrown in the towel yet, the club is considering making a final push for Huijsen. But the possibilities diminish with each passing day. Meanwhile, Cubarsí has done his part: warning before it's too late.

The future of the Barça defense now depends on what happens in the coming weeks. The transfer window will be key to knowing if Barça manages to prevent Bayern from snatching the most promising center-back on the market.
