Barça Defeats Girona and Secures the Signing of the Year: Lamine Yamal is the Main Culprit

The German coach has already decided what his formation would be if the main star of the market arrives

FC Barcelona's sports management continues working on improving their squad for the next season. In this regard, one of the main objectives is to strengthen their attacking front. Hansi Flick, aware of the potential of the Barça team, is already devising a way to further enhance the offensive play without losing balance.

With Lamine Yamal established as one of the great promises of soccer and Raphinha showing his ability to make a difference, the coach is studying variations that allow him to take advantage of all possible talent. One of these key adjustments would involve a change of roles within the current system. Both Flick and his technical team already have in mind a change of scheme that would be enhanced with the possible arrival of a star that interests Barça.

Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, the Big Bets

One of Hansi Flick's main ideas is to modify Raphinha's position, moving him to a more central area in the attack. At this point in the season, the Brazilian has stood out as a winger and is having his best season since he arrived at Barça. However, his ability to associate and reach the area would allow him to perform well as an attacking midfielder, generating play and offering a different offensive alternative.

This move would allow Lamine Yamal to remain in his natural position on the right, where his dribbling and vision have made him a key piece for Hansi Flick. Additionally, the German coach doesn't rule out using a 'false 9' on certain occasions. Especially in matches where Robert Lewandowski needs rest knowing that he is approaching 37 years old.

The Fit of a Star

Flick's plan aims to turn Barça into an even more aggressive team in the final third of the field. In this sense, the German coach is pushing for the signing of Nico Williams to be completed, as he already has a clear idea of how to fit him into his scheme. The Athletic Club winger would occupy the left wing, his usual position, where he can exploit his speed and dribbling ability.

With Lamine on the right, Nico Williams on the left, and Raphinha acting as a link in the center, Barcelona would form a tridentwith players capable of generating constant danger. The key, evidently, would be to find the necessary balance to not neglect the defensive aspect.
