Flick doesn't change his mind about Joan Garcia: out of Barça, he already has a top-level offer

The German will not change his mind about a footballer who is on the way out

Barça is certain that Joan García will be the goalkeeper for the next decade. In the offices, there are no doubts; he has the talent, maturity, and potential needed to become the new goalkeeper.

At just 24 years old, Joan García has already shown personality in top-level matches and a command of the area that is not common among goalkeepers his age. In addition, his footwork fits perfectly, according to different coaches. Barça is strongly backing him not only for the present but as a long-term project, with the idea that he will become the new reference under the posts.

Tek is the second goalkeeper

Behind Joan García, the club has decided to establish Tek as the second goalkeeper. The Polish keeper arrived last year unexpectedly, taking advantage of Ter Stegen's long-term injury, and convinced everyone with his seriousness and work ethic.

So much so that Barça has decided to renew his contract until 2027, thus ensuring a solid structure in goal. Tek will be the backup, a role the club considers key to keep competition and stability in the squad.

Ter Stegen, sidelined

In addition, Ter Stegen has been completely left out of the club's plans. After undergoing back surgery and refusing to cooperate with Barça to facilitate his registration in LaLiga, the relationship between both parties has completely deteriorated. The club has decided to remove him from the group and strip him of the captaincy, making its position clear: the German's cycle at Barça has come to an end.

His medical and contractual situation, combined with the lack of cooperation with the sporting management, have closed the door to any possible reintegration. The club is now working on finding a solution for his departure, either through contract termination or transfer.

Iñaki Peña, pending departure

Another name marked to leave the club is Iñaki Peña. The Alicante-born goalkeeper has been informed by Hansi Flick that he is not in his plans and that he must look for a way out as soon as possible. Although he had a valid contract, his role in the squad has been completely diminished after the arrival of Joan García and Tek's contract renewal.

Iñaki Peña will leave in the summer | @inakipenya

Barça needs to reduce its wage bill, and Iñaki Peña is aware that his best option is to leave in search of playing time. The club has already asked him to listen to offers and finalize his departure before the end of the summer transfer window. This way, Barça will define its hierarchy in goal with a clear structure: Joan García as leader, Tek as deputy.
