Flick Breaks His Silence and Sentences Gavi, He's Lost Patience: 'He'll Go to the...'

The German coach hasn't been fully convinced by his performances, and a lucrative offer has arrived for him

The News No One Expected Has Exploded in FC Barcelona's Locker Room. Flick has made a drastic decision with one of the fans' most beloved players: Gavi is no longer untouchable, and his future at the club is in the air.

After being a key piece with Xavi Hernández, reality has changed for the young midfielder after his serious injury. Now, with the arrival of Dani Olmo and the growth of other players in his position, Gavi has lost prominence.

Barça needs to balance the books to make signings in the summer, and the departure of the Sevillian could be one of the most painful but necessary.

Flick No Longer Counts on Gavi

The German coach values his character but believes he doesn't fit into his current scheme.  Gavi has always stood out for his intensity and commitment, but Flick wants midfielders with more game control, capable of pausing when necessary.

The problem with Gavi is that he only has one speed: maximum intensity. In a team that needs balance, this has become more of a problem than a virtue.

Another factor working against him is his history with referees. They have him marked, and every game he is exposed to early yellow cards, which limits the coach's decisions. Flick doesn't want to rely on a player who could be a constant risk of expulsion.

A Bench That Weighs Too Much on Him

With Pedri's recovery and Dani Olmo's arrival, Gavi has gone from being an undisputed starter to a regular substitute.  But the problem doesn't end there: in the rotation, he is also behind Fermín López and Marc Casadó.

That means his minutes have been reduced to a minimum, coming in only in the final stages of matches or when there are injuries in the team. It's not enough for a player who, a year ago, was considered the future of Barça and the Spanish national team.

Even in La Roja, he has lost his place. He used to be untouchable for Luis de la Fuente, but now he hasn't been drafted in the latest matches. For all these reasons, Flick and Deco have reached the same conclusion: Gavi needs a change of scenery.

Deco Is Already Listening to Offers

Barça is not going to sell Gavi cheaply, but if a significant offer comes in, they will seriously consider it. The club's idea is to find a loan with a purchase option or a transfer with a buy-back clause, to not lose control over his future.

Gavi still has a lot of market value.  Premier League teams have already inquired about him, knowing that his grit and aggressiveness fit perfectly in English soccer.

But there is a club willing to make a strong bid for his signing. The German giant has been closely following the midfielder's situation and is preparing a massive offer to acquire him.

In Munich, they see Gavi as a market opportunity and are ready to present an offer that Barça can't refuse. If Flick has already made his decision, everything will depend on whether the club agrees to negotiate and, above all, on what Gavi wants to do with his future.
