The market is shaping up to be hectic for several of Europe's top soccer clubs, and among them Barça and Chelsea could be set to reach an understanding. Both clubs keep overlapping interests that could lead to a deal. At the London club, Enzo Maresca is very clear about who he wants to strengthen its midfield: Fermín.

Maresca sees Fermín as the ideal profile for his project at Stamford Bridge. He is a young player, who gets into the box, brings intensity, has quality passing, and possesses impeccable tactical training thanks to his time at La Masia. From England, they claim Chelsea would be willing to make a significant financial effort to sign him this summer.
Fermín wants to stay at Barça
However, there is an important factor that complicates any deal: Fermín doesn't want to leave Barça. Despite the offers, his desire is to earn a spot in Flick's starting eleven and keep growing alongside the current sporting project.
Despite this resistance from the player, in England they claim Chelsea hasn't given up. They'd be willing to submit a significant offer, which would be around €50 million (about €50 million), an amount that would make any club think twice. At Barça, which is going through a delicate financial situation, that sum could spark an internal debate, although the footballer's will remains decisive.
Nkunku on Barça's radar
But Chelsea isn't the only club interested in Barça players. According to Nacional, Barça is also keeping an eye on a possible opportunity that could arise at the blue club. This concerns the Frenchman Christopher Nkunku, who hasn't managed to establish himself in London and whose future is uncertain.
Nkunku is highly valued at Barça. He is a versatile footballer, capable of playing as a center forward or second striker, and can even operate as a winger. His technical quality, vision, and movement fit well with the blaugrana playing philosophy.
An interesting addition if the price is low
Nkunku could become a good rotation option for Barça's attack. If Chelsea decides to make his departure easier at a low cost or through a loan, those at Camp Nou would be willing to seriously consider it.
For now, there are no formal negotiations between Barça and Chelsea for Nkunku, but the interest is real and the player is on the list. With both clubs' paths crossing this summer, it can't be ruled out that a possible deal for Fermín could include a parallel move involving Nkunku.
