The blaugrana team could make tough decisions this summer due to playing time issues

If there was one name that surprised and established itself as one of Barça's great sensations last season, it was undoubtedly Fermín. Although he didn't start as a regular starter, his impact off the bench was extraordinary, and he recorded 8 goals and 10 assists across all competitions (8 goals and 10 assists).

Every time Flick used him as a game-changer, he replied with energy, precision, and unpredictability. His numbers reflect a brilliant season, where his name began to make waves. In a team full of stars, the Andalusian managed to shine on his own.

Major offers in Europe

It's no surprise that his breakthrough has attracted the interest of several European giants. In recent weeks, there has been talk that clubs like Manchester United, Atlético, and Chelsea have set their sights on him. Fermín represents that modern midfielder profile with attacking ability and intelligence, a highly sought-after asset in today's market.

These clubs would even be willing to offer significant sums for his transfer. However, despite the media buzz, Barça have no intention of selling him. They know they have a homegrown gem on their hands and understand that he still has room to grow.

Fermín wants to stay

If there's one thing Fermín has made clear, it's that he doesn't intend to leave. He has a contract until 2029 (2029) and isn't even considering the possibility of leaving. He's convinced that his place is at Barça and dreams of succeeding at the club where he grew up.

Beyond the offers and the opportunities that may arise elsewhere, Fermín is focused on continuing to grow under Flick. He has found his role in the team, he knows he has the coach's trust, and he's willing to fight for a starting spot.

Competition with Dani Olmo?

Fermín's progress toward the end of the season coincided with a clear dip in Dani Olmo's performance. Although the Spanish international remains a key player, his inconsistency could cost him dearly this campaign, especially if Fermín keeps up the level he showed at the end of last season.

In this regard, a direct competition between the two for a spot in the starting eleven is expected. Fermín, with his freshness and determination, could end up prevailing. Everything will depend on performance and Flick's planning, but what is clear is that the academy product wants to stay.
