Fermín López's breakthrough hasn't gone unnoticed in the major European leagues. The Andalusian midfielder has been one of the season's biggest revelations under Xavi Hernández's leadership. His talent, character, and ability to step up at key moments have sparked interest across much of Europe.
Several clubs have set their sights on him, ready to make him one of their key pieces for the future. Among them, three major clubs have already contacted his camp in recent weeks. These are Manchester City, Atlético de Madrid, and Chelsea, all with multimillion-euro offers.
Their reports are unanimous: they see Fermín as a modern, versatile midfielder with immediate potential. In Barça's offices, this interest isn't surprising, but the intensity with which it has grown is. Especially after the first figures being considered by the offers were leaked.

Dizzying offers
The most solid offers that have reached the club's offices range between €70 and €80 million (between $76 million and $87 million). Amounts that, in another economic context, would have forced Barça to seriously consider a strategic sale. But now, although money always helps, the club has other priorities.
From the sporting management, they assure that there's no intention to sell Fermín, at least at this time. They consider him an important piece for the new project led by Flick, and a figure highly valued by the coaching staff. His profile fits perfectly with the style they want to promote in this new era.
Even so, in modern soccer, you can never completely close the door. If a "crazy offer" arrives, the scenario could change. Because €80 million (about $87 million) for a homegrown player is income that's hard to reject if the situation demands it.

Chelsea, the most aggressive
Among all the interested clubs, Chelsea has been the most persistent. The English club hasn't only presented a very strong financial offer, but has also tried to include a player as part of the deal. According to this outlet, the chosen one has been Christopher Nkunku.
The proposal consisted of a partial swap, adding money and the French forward to facilitate the transfer. In London, they see Fermín as the ideal profile to lead their midfield in the coming years. They believe his signing could be key to rebuilding a project that still hasn't fully taken off.
At Barça, however, the idea never fully convinced them. They value Nkunku, but don't see him as a priority profile for their current system. In addition, swapping a national prospect for a player with an injury history didn't fit the club's vision.

Decision made
Throughout this process, the player's voice has been essential. Fermín has listened to all the offers, has evaluated the projects... and has made a decision. He's not leaving.
Despite the millions on the table, despite the interest from three major European clubs, he wants to keep growing at Barça. His camp has conveyed to the club his total commitment to Flick's project. He himself has repeatedly stated a very clear idea internally: he wants to succeed at Camp Nou.
From La Masia to the first team, his story is meant to continue in blaugrana. The fans see him as a symbol of the new generation, and the board fully trusts him. Fermín isn't moving... even if the market goes crazy.
