Barça Will Pay 75 M After Las Palmas: Flick Is Desperate, He Needs It Now

Barça's sporting director has made it clear that they won't reach that amount of money and is negotiating a swap

The 'signings' operation continues to simmer in FC Barcelona's offices, considering that Deco is the main person in charge of managing all the possibilities that arise next transfer market. It is clear that the Catalan team's offices already have a clear idea of the positions that need to be reinforced with greater priority than others. In this regard, the Portuguese sporting director has already made a move and, in fact, will try again to sign one of the players he is most interested in.

However, the outlook is not easy for Deco and his team. Everything seems to indicate that the Portuguese has already received an initial response to his interest in this elite star, and it was not favorable: 75 million or nothing. Thus, Deco will have to look for other alternatives to sign him and has already set one in motion.

Deco Doesn't Forget Him

According to the latest information circulating around Barça, Deco is still considering the signing of Rafael Leão. The 25-year-old Portuguese winger has been repeatedly offered to the Catalan team by his agent Jorge Mendes. In fact, the latter even met personally with Joan Laporta and Deco to lay the groundwork for a possible operation, according to 'El Nacional'.

Evidently, the potential signing of Rafael Leão is very appealing to Barça's higher-ups knowing that he is a player with many attractive qualities and a high level. His addition would fit perfectly into the first team, considering that the offensive line is one of the priorities of the sporting management. And as if that weren't enough, Rafael Leão would also be open to leaving AC Milan for a new adventure defending Barça's colors.

They Won't Make It Easy

Evidently, AC Milan won't give in so easily and will try to get as much money as possible for one of their great stars. Initially, they set a prohibitive asking price for Rafael Leão that exceeded 100 million euros. Now, everything seems to indicate that the Italian club is willing to listen to offers for a lower amount, but it is still excessive for Deco: 75 million euros.

In his desire not to pay so much for Leão, Deco has devised an option to try to reach an agreement. This consists of taking advantage of Milan's interest in Ferran Torres. In this regard, Barça plans to offer the Valencian striker plus 50 million euros to close the signing of Leão.
