All the fans are left stunned by Gavi's latest move: Barça has made it clear

The Andalusian midfielder doesn't have a secured future at the club

This season has been especially complicated for Gavi at Barça. Since Hansi Flick arrived on the bench, the Andalusian has seen his prominence in the team reduced. Players like Pedri, Dani Olmo, and even Fermín López have been ahead of him in the rotation.

The coaching staff have prioritized other options in midfield, and Gavi, despite his combative character and commitment, has had to settle for a more secondary role.

An injury that marked the season

Part of this loss of prominence can be explained by the serious physical setback he suffered last season. The torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee meant an abrupt halt in his meteoric progression, and the current campaign has been marked by the difficulty of regaining competitive rhythm. Although he has been medically cleared, Gavi still hasn't fully recovered the spark, intensity, and consistency that characterized him before the injury.

When Flick has given him minutes, the midfielder has shown a more inconsistent version than usual. Moments of great commitment have alternated with discreet matches. It hasn't been easy for him to feel one hundred percent again, and the lack of continuity in the starting eleven hasn't helped him gain confidence.

Long-term trust

Despite everything, Barça haven't lost faith in Gavi. Internally, the club still see him as one of the great gems of the academy and a key piece for the project's future. Not even PSG's interest, where Luis Enrique has shown his admiration for the player and would welcome him in his team, has made the board doubt.

Gavi isn't for sale, and they've made this clear to his entourage. The emotional connection with the club, combined with his youth and room for growth, mean that at Camp Nou they're still convinced his best version is yet to come.

Plan for Gavi

According to the newspaper El Nacional, Barça are already working on a specific plan for Gavi to regain his best level. Looking ahead to next season, they want to design a personalized physical preparation that will allow him to leave behind any aftereffects of the injury and face the campaign with more guarantees. Flick, aware of what a fully fit Gavi can contribute, is determined to give him more prominence in the rotation and to integrate him more actively into the playing system.

The goal is to have the electric and omnipresent Gavi again who won over Barcelona fans and was already key both with Xavi and with the Spanish national team. Next season will be decisive for him, not only to regain the coaching staff's trust, but also to establish himself as the all-around midfielder Barça need. At the club they're determined to do everything they can to achieve it.
