Official, he's leaving for Bayern: Barça loses its star, Nico is to blame, traitor

The blaugrana team seems to have already forgotten one of the favorites of the sporting management

Barça seems to be taking important steps to balance Financial Fair Play, getting closer to the desired 1-1 that would allow the club to operate with greater freedom in the market. One of the key factors has been the now imminent sale of the VIP boxes at the new Camp Nou.

Added to this is the recent loan of Ansu Fati, which has eased the team's wage bill by freeing up 50% of his salary. Given the high salary the young forward was earning, this move represents a significant relief for the treasury.

Nico Williams's signing falls through

For several weeks, Nico Williams's name was one of the most talked about in Barça's environment. His €60 million ($60 million) release clause, his youth, and his footballing profile seemed ideal for Hansi Flick's new project. However, neither the player's own interest nor Deco's efforts were enough to finalize the signing.

Deco loses his favorite

Nevertheless, this progress in the Nico operation also means a renunciation. Deco will have to resign himself to not seeing one of his greatest wishes fulfilled: the signing of Luis Díaz. The Colombian from Liverpool was his favorite to strengthen the wing, both for his technical profile and his experience on big stages.

Since the beginning of the summer, the club's idea was a top-level signing for the flank, but now they've run out of options. Although Deco tried until the last moment, the economic fit and sporting logic ultimately prevail, leaving Luis Díaz out.

Luis Díaz, between Liverpool and Bayern

Given the situation, Luis Díaz's immediate future seems to be definitely moving away. The Colombian player is now torn between two alternatives: staying at Liverpool or accepting Bayern Munich's tempting offer.

The Bavarian club is betting heavily on him and sees him as a key piece in its new offensive project.
