Barça Expects a Windfall of Millions for All These Players

The club could ease its finances without needing to touch the current squad

One of the formulas that clubs have been using the most to guarantee future income is to retain a percentage of the rights of the players they sell. Especially when it comes to young talents.

Thanks to this, FC Barcelona could receive a significant financial boost this summer. The most recent case has been Nico González, whose transfer to Manchester City left a few extra million in the club's coffers. But like the Galician, many other players can continue to alleviate the club's delicate financial situation.

The French center-back is on loan at West Ham. Although he is owned by Lens, the loan included a mandatory purchase option of 40 million euros. FC Barcelona holds 20% of the player, so they are guaranteed 8 million euros.

The winger is having a great season at Sporting de Portugal, with a record of 9 goals and 13 assists. The Portuguese is on the list of major clubs in the Premier League and Barça still retains 50% of his rights. It is estimated that the Catalan entity could receive between 10 and 15 million euros.

Òscar Mingueza

With a clause of 20 million euros, Barça could take 50% of a possible sale. His contract with Celta ends in 2026, and in Barcelona, they are keeping an eye on his future.

Barcelona retains 20% of the Leeds full-back. To contextualize his recent seasons, since January 1, 2024, only Mohamed Salah has provided more assists in the four major categories of English football than Junior Firpo (16). On the verge of promotion to the Premier League, he is already on the radar of many European clubs.

Ez Abde

After the recent sale of Vitor Roque, Betis secured a larger percentage of Abde, although Barça maintains 20%.

Given the emergence of Jesús Rodríguez, Betis doesn't seem willing to retain Abde. If they sell him, Barça could receive between 4 and 7 million euros.

Ferran Jutglà

Brujas is one of the sensations of the Champions League. Much of their success is due to their starting '9'.

Although Barça only holds 10% of Jutglà, the Catalan forward could increase in value and be sold for a figure close to 15-20 million euros.

Other Less Likely Operations

Riqui Puig: He is the star of LA Galaxy and Barça retains 50% of his rights. Three months ago, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament, so he will be out of the field for a while.

Estanis Pedrola: Also injured, he is on loan from Sampdoria to Bologna, although he hasn't debuted yet. If the Bologna team exercises the purchase option, Barça would receive 50%.

Mika Faye: One of the club's bets, he was sold last summer to Rennes and has already lost his starting position. In case of sale, 30% would remain in the Catalan city.

Mika Mármol:  A situation very similar to Mingueza's. He has a clause of 10 million euros and a contract until 2026. Barça retains 50%.

Ilaix Moriba:  Barça retains 10% of Ilaix. Celta has a purchase option of 4.5 million euros. The problem is his high salary at Leipzig.

Carles Aleñá: His value has dropped considerably. Although he now plays for Alavés, Getafe and Barcelona share 50% of his rights.
